March of Remembrance and temporary exhibition ‘Roots of the Uprising. Resistance in the Warsaw Ghetto’

The March of Remembrance will take place through the streets of Warsaw, commemorating the victims of the Warsaw Ghetto on the 81st anniversary of the great liquidation action, which began on July 22, 1942. This year, the March is exceptionally scheduled for Friday, July 21. The March of Remembrance will be accompanied by the outdoor exhibition “Roots of the Uprising. Resistance in the Warsaw Ghetto”, in which we will present to the visitors various circles of Jewish underground activists during the German occupation, their strategies, methods of operation and the dynamics of cooperation.

The march will start on July 21 at at 18:00 from the Umschlagplatz monument in Warsaw (ul. Stawki 10, corner of Dzika Street) and will follow the symbolic route “from death to life”, which will end at the Square of the Home Army Scout Battalion “Wigry” (next to the Muranów cinema), where the exhibition will be opened “Roots of the Uprising” and an outdoor concert.
