Upcoming Educational
Workshop: Media literacy as a museum’s mission – Developing digital educational formats
How do you explain to pupils why a visit to a museum is not the same as taking a political stance? How do you convey historical contexts when digital discourse is characterised by disinformation, antisemitism and polarised online communities? This practice-oriented workshop supports educational teams in developing their own formats that combine media literacy with the prevention of antisemitism. In a design sprint, participants will develop a concrete concept – whether a lesson plan, workshop module or supplementary digital material. Inspiration will be drawn from best-practice examples from the European museum sector.
Date: September 1, 2026. Start at 9:30 a.m.
Facilitator: Ralf Schlüter (Kulturbotschaft Berlin)
Format: Online (ZOOM)
Duration: Approximately 6 hours per workshop
Language: English
