To Leave Something to the World… Beyond the Pages of Renia Spiegel’s Diary

An exhibition by the Galicia Jewish Museum presented in cooperation with Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.

Renia Spiegel’s diary, written in Przemyśl between 1939 and 1942, is a remarkable personal and historical record of the final years of a young Jewish woman’s life during the Second World War. The exhibition places Renia’s words within the historical context of the war and the two occupations of Przemyśl, tracing the fate of Renia, her family and the city’s Jewish community.

The exhibition will open at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies on 3 October 2026 and will be on view through 15 November 2026.
