Protecting the Future
Organisers:
Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center, Moscow & Russian Jewish Congress
Dates: 21 – 23 November, 2021
Location: Moscow / Online

This year, the Conference will entail the first Forum «Museums as a Modern Tool Against Xenophobia» with the participation of Jewish museums and museums dedicated to the Holocaust as well as other genocides and apartheids from all over the world. We would like to discuss experiences, share best practices in addressing the problem and find new ways of cooperation. The Forum will take place in Moscow for those who are able to attend, but online participation is also possible. Participants of the Forum will be able to take part in the main program of the Conference.

If you would like to participate in the forum, please send your request to mcca@rjc.ru.

The organizer of the Conference is the Russian Jewish Congress with the support of the Moscow City Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs. The World Jewish Congress, the Genesis Philanthropy Group, Sberbank and the Center for the History of the Holocaust and Genocides at the Russian Humanitarian University are partners of the Conference.

In the past, the main focus was on sharing experience in different practices to combat antisemitism, xenophobia, and racism. The 2018 Conference welcomed 600 representatives of the expert community, state bodies and media along with diplomats as well as public and religious figures from Russia and 35 other countries.
