Shoah Memorial Frankfurt

The Shoah Memorial Frankfurt commemorates more than 12,000 persons who were deported and murdered by the Nazis because they were Jewish by making their biographies publicly accessible.

On this website, the biographies of the murder victims are made accessible to the public for the first time. Based on intensive research, the website presents more than 12,000 biographies of persons that were either born in Frankfurt or moved to the city from the surrounding region. It also commemorates those persons who, during the years 1933–1945, took their own lives out of despair.

The Shoah Memorial Frankfurt is reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis. We invite you to get involved in the process and help keep the memory of each individual alive.
