The Association of European Jewish Museums is deeply saddened about the passing of Lord Jacob Rothschild Z”L, a true philanthropist whose generous support over many years as Trustee of the Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe was of the greatest importance for the development of our network. His commitment to supporting the collection, preservation, and exhibition of Jewish heritage and his invaluable contributions to promoting and supporting research has been fundamental to the field of Jewish museums and archives in Europe. Lord Jacob Rothschild’s Z”L vision and generosity have ensured the vibrancy of Jewish cultural heritage for future generations. We pay tribute to his remarkable legacy and express our deepest sympathy with his family at this time of loss.
