In this MEST Get to Know session, the educational team from the Oshpitzin Jewish Museum in Oświęcim (Poland) will present their institution using recently made series of short video clips about objects from the museum collection and Jewish sites from the town. The museum will use this opportunity to give an insight into its pedagogy and to create space for small group discussion about shared challenges of outreach for small museums.
In the new online MEST series “Get to Know”, we invite our educator’s network to learn more about selected Jewish museums and their educational practice. We bring you to unexpected places across Europe and beyond to learn more about museum renewals and innovative pedagogical strategies.
Initiated by POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews and Oslo Jewish Museum, AEJM’s MEST is a professional development programm that addresses educators from Jewish museums in Europe. The program consists of a series of online and IRL activities, comprising interactive workshops and lectures, exchange of best practice, and peer-to-peer support and network opportunities.
