Jewish Museum Vienna Unveils New Online Collection
The Jewish Museum Vienna’s Online Collection is now live, featuring over 3,000 objects from its holdings. All kinds of items – everyday objects, ritual pieces, photographs, documents, postcards, textiles, and glass plate photographs – offer a glimpse into the history of the world’s first Jewish Museum, which opened in Vienna in 1895.
The Online Collection is freely accessible at sammlung.jmw.at and can be found under the “Digital” section of the museum’s website. This resource invites researchers, educators, and the general public to explore the breadth and depth of the museum’s holdings from anywhere in the world, further connecting communities with Vienna’s rich Jewish past.
