AEJM Annual Conference 2021 Postponed

We are very sorry to announce that the Jewish Museum Frankfurt and the AEJM board have decided to postpone the AEJM Annual Conference 2021 to the first half of 2022, at the Jewish Museum Frankfurt. The conference would originally have taken place from 21-23 November 2021.

We apologise for any inconvenience this decision may have caused. We want to be able to offer the three-day conference with all the programming as intended. And as we learned from the results of a short survey we sent to past conference participants, concerns regarding travel and quarantine are shared. Together with our host museum, we decided that the potential risks we would be facing by organising an onsite or even hybrid conference this November, are simply too big to take.

For now, we would like to offer a one-day online alternative, on which AEJM members could gather and speak to one another virtually. We would like to hold this event on Monday, 22 November 2021, on Zoom.

There will be no need to purchase a ticket for this event – the programme we will be offering will be free of charge for AEJM members as well as for external guests wishing to join us. The Annual General Meeting for AEJM members will take a similar form as last year in the afternoon. Further details on the programme will follow soon.

We would like to thank all those who had already committed themselves to participate in the Annual Conference 2021 programme or collaborated with us in the preparations. We appreciate your understanding and support, and we hope you will be able to join us in 2022 for the onsite conference in Frankfurt.
