A New Video on Jewish Venice

A short film about “The Jewish Court of Venice” by The U. Nahon Museum of Italian Jewish Art, Jerusalem, is available for viewing both in English and in Hebrew online at the National Portal of Museums in Israel.

The video was produced by the Italian Jewish Museum and the Israeli Ministry of Culture as an introductory video for the exhibition “The Jewish Court of Venice” currently on view at the museum. Until now, it was available for viewing exclusively as part of the exhibition. The short film discusses the history of the Jews in Venice, the vibrant life in the Ghetto, and the cultural exchange that took place both within and without its walls. Many objects and beautiful images of the Ghetto from the exhibition appear in the film.
